Georgia city rejects Wal-Mart Supercenter

The city of Avondale Estates in DeKalb County, Ga., has rejected Wal-Mart's request to build a 203,000-square-foot Supercenter there, with one city commissioner saying, "Wal-Mart doesn't fit in our little city. We don't want it, period." Wal-Mart officials expressed disappointment at the unanimous vote, adding the company may ask the county to rezone the property.
