Search battle rages

According to October data from Nielsen/NetRatings, Web users performed 5.1 billion searches -- up 15% from June -- and Google continued to dominate queried sites, accounting for 48% of all searches, compared with 22% for Yahoo!, 11% for MSN and 7% for AOL. The fastest-growing search engine during this period was AskJeeves, which saw a 77% uptick in search queries, despite only accounting for 3% of the market.
