Democrats prepare drug legislation for new session

At least one Democratic senator says he plans to introduce a universal health care bill when the new Congress convenes, while other priorities include allowing government negotiation of Medicare drug prices and dealing with funding shortfalls for the Children's Health Insurance Program. But some groups are doubtful any major reforms will happen because of the distraction of the looming 2008 presidential election.
