Airlines expect strong holiday travel season

Airlines expect to carry 47.2 million travelers within the U.S. this holiday season, up from 47 million a year earlier, according to the Air Transport Association. "Despite signs of slowing in the economy and sky-high energy prices, we expect to see another strong season of holiday air travel," Air Transport Association President James May said.
