Simulated "rescue mission" helps hone problem-solving skills

Indianapolis-area sixth-graders this week planned a virtual rescue mission on a Caribbean island undergoing a devastating volcanic eruption. The simulation was designed to give students real-world experience in math, communication and problem solving.
