Boeing schedules live webcast for 787 first flight on Tuesday

Boeing Co.'s 787 Dreamliner reportedly hit speeds of 150 miles per hour during runway testing over the weekend, and the company has scheduled the plane's first takeoff for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, weather permitting. "Our pilots told me the airplane performed beautifully," the 787's chief project engineer reported. "We're going through and analyzing the data to ensure we're ready for first flight. From evaluations we've done so far, everything looks good." Boeing plans to broadcast the Tuesday morning takeoff over the Internet via a live webcast.
