Nebraska court: Worker can seek benefits for parking-lot injury

Nebraska's Supreme Court ruled a railroad conductor is entitled to workers' compensation after suffering a knee injury in a parking lot on his way to work, overturning a lower court's summary judgment on a case filed by Glenn Holsapple against Union Pacific. "It was a necessary incident of the workday for Holsapple to walk from his car to the yard office to report for duty," the court said.
