Republicans will oppose emissions caps in Copenhagen

Some Republican lawmakers plan to travel to Copenhagen to oppose climate-change goals proposed by President Barack Obama. Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., said that an international climate-change agreement could push energy prices higher and make the U.S. less competitive in the global economy. Supporters of emissions caps say energy efficiency measures have the potential to mitigate costs to consumers.
