Germany says common bonds would raise doubts about the euro:

Wolfgang Schauble, finance minister for Germany, voiced concerns about the idea of introducing common euro-zone bonds. He said Eurobonds would raise long-term doubts about the euro's stability and would allow governments to detour from euro-zone fiscal requirements because the threat of having to pay increased interest rates on sovereign bonds would be gone.
