Hospital to use smartphones to track in-home heart patients

Arizona's Flagstaff Medical Center is enlisting congestive heart failure patients to participate in a program to test the use of smartphones for home-based health monitoring. The program, which targets patients in underserved areas in northern Arizona, will use health tracking tools from Zephyr Technology and Qualcomm, and smartphones from Verizon Wireless.
