RIM shareholders hope for good news on QNX OS today

Investors will be looking for clues today on whether Research In Motion will stick with its timetable for introducing its QNX operating system early next year. Shares in the beleaguered BlackBerry phone maker, which reports earnings today, have fallen more than 70% since April, when RIM introduced its ill-fated PlayBook tablet. "The worry with this company is there's more bad news," said analyst Colin Gillis of BGC Partners.
