Students in gifted program learn about urban planning

Elementary-school students in a gifted-education program are learning about urban development and planning through a game devised by students at the University of Virginia. The third- and fourth-grade students collected data on urban environments through local "scavenger hunts" and presented their findings and recommendations to local officials through their photo essays.
