CCI research backs transradial approach in carotid stenting

Research published in Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions supports the transradial approach for carotid stenting in patients who have peripheral vascular disease or other issues that increase risks associated with the femoral route. Researchers documented a 91% procedural success rate using transradial access and found a 1.9% rate of 30-day stroke and death.
