Grocery dietitians have corporate and consumer roles, RD says

Grocery stores in Oklahoma are following the national trend of hiring registered dietitians to help shoppers make healthy food choices. RD Sharon Palmer says dietitians can hold cooking demonstrations and show people how to read food labels, deal with food allergies and eat more fruits and vegetables. They also can help grocers handle health-and-wellness issues with the media and promote wellness programs, she says.
