How to get past morning grumpiness

If you tend to come out of your night's sleep feeling like a crank, it could be because you aren't looking forward to the workday. In many cases, "morning grumpiness is simply a symptom of our over-scheduled life, with too little sleep and not enough things that bring us joy on a day to day basis," said Alice D. Domar of the Domar Center for Mind/Body Health. One way to address the issue is to make sure your day includes an activity you like, suggests Gretchen Rubin, author of "The Happiness Project."
