Obesity eclipses hunger as a global health crisis

Global obesity has increased 82% in the past 20 years, and Middle Eastern countries had 100% growth in obesity rates, a report in The Lancet says. Researchers found that obesity is now considered a bigger health problem than hunger, while diabetes, heart disease and stroke are top contributors to years spent being sick or injured.
