$810 million perpetual pavement project under way

With what is the largest perpetual pavement job in Wisconsin's history, contractors Payne & Dolan, of Waukesha, Wisc., are playing a role in the $810-million reconstruction of the Marquette Interchange project in Milwaukee. Perpetual pavement is a multi-layer hot mix asphalt pavement system that can last more than 50 years with only periodic surface renewal.
