"Baby Einstein" and other media toys aim for the very young

Even as manufacturers pitch new video games and other electronic toys to the diaper set, research hasn't yet confirmed whether the playthings have any effect on learning for children under the age of 2. Studies have found, however, that very young children learn to imitate actions much more quickly when they see demonstrations in real life, rather than on video.
