Tourism picks up in tsunami-struck regions

Asian regions struck by the tsunami last year are seeing strong hotel occupancy rates indicating a return of tourism. However, a full recovery is not expected until next year, according to the World Tourism Organization. Areas in Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and the Maldives report rising hotel occupancies, but the rates and air bookings are still substantially lower than before the tsunami.
