Verizon looks to stem Internet "domain tasting"

Verizon Communications, and a growing number of other companies with a major online presence, are calling on Internet domain name regulators to reconsider the process of "domain tasting," a legal practice that lets people register domain names for five days at no cost. Some other concerned companies, fearing that the soaring number of temporary domain names will damage their established brands, are taking legal action, among other steps.
