Efforts to ban plastic bags or tax disposable shopping bags may make some people feel good, but the steps probably wind up doing mare harm than good, according to this commentary. Despite bad results from a ban in Ireland, governments in the U.S., U.K., Europe, Canada and Australia are hopping on the anti-plastic-bag bandwagon, but bad science has been behind many of the decisions, Charles W.
