TOPS may renovate 60 stores, open 10 new locations

Just about a year after TOPS was acquired by Royal Ahold, the chain is pondering opening up 10 new stores and investing $150 million in 60 of its existing 76 locations. TOPS CEO Frank Curci says the recession has helped the chain because people eat out less and turn to the grocery store when they want to save money on food.
