Wal-Mart enters environmental agreement in China

Wal-Mart, the largest retailer in the world, has signed an environmental-sustainability memorandum of understanding with China's Environmental Certification Center in Beijing. The two will work together to draft standards for environmentally friendly stores. Wal-Mart said the effort is a step toward realising its socially and environmentally sustainable supply-chain strategy.
