Details of the deal between Qantas and Woolworths have not been released, but the companies are expected to implement a loyalty alliance programme that gives Woolworths customers additional frequent-flier points sometime next year. "This is a direct relationship between a retailer and an airline but more importantly two iconic brands that have been around for more than 80 years. ... It is very much a unique relationship in this country," Woolworths CEO Michael Luscome said.
