$23 million pumped into EEOC to resolve backlog

Congress has appropriated an additional $23 million to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to help it deal with more than 70,000 unresolved discrimination complaints. Discrimination complaints rose 20% in 2008 from the previous year. Employment and management lawyers complain cases delayed for years hurt everyone involved.
