Google hopes for display-ad payoff in new year

Google hopes its efforts this year to streamline the buying of display ads, including a revamping of its DoubleClick ad exchange, will help the online giant to claim a bigger share of the segment in 2010. "Make it as easy as possible for people to buy display ads, and the pie will grow," said Neal Mohan, vice president of product management at Google.
