Houston, Jacksonville see highest rate declines

The Jacksonville, Fla., hotel market saw the country's second-worst drop in rates in the country, according to Hotwire.com's December report. The city had a 17% decline to an average of $71 per night for a four-star hotel, and it was topped only by Houston, which saw a 19% decline to $78 for a four-star hotel.
