Officials unveil 6 possible designs for Champlain bridge

Transportation officials in Ticonderoga, N.Y., offered six designs to replace the Crown Point Bridge over Lake Champlain, which closed in October over safety concerns. Bridge designs for the span between New York and Vermont included concrete bridges, steel cable bridges and "tied-arch" spans. All bridge designs featured two lanes and wider shoulders for pedestrians and bicyclists to cross.
