Pennsylvania DOT awards $24.5 million for freight-rail upgrades

Pennsylvania's Transportation Department has ponied up $24.5 million in grants to 39 railroads and rail shippers to upgrade or construct freight-rail infrastructure. The awards include $3 million to Norfolk Southern Railway Co. to remodel part of its Dillerville Yard, including track, utilities and structural upgrades.
