Student reading can improve with practice, teacher says

Language-arts teacher Donalyn Miller argues in this blog post that strong readers will always outperform weaker readers simply because they read more. To encourage all children to become better readers, educators and adults should model a love for reading, provide reading time in the classroom and at home and offer children access to a variety of books from which to make their own reading choices, Miller suggests.
