Survey: CIOs spend time on maintenance, not innovation

Chief information officers report that 64% of their work hours are consumed with managing IT systems, leaving little time to do research or innovate, according to a Colman Parkes study commissioned by Salesforce. The CIOs reported that other barriers to innovation included lack of funding, corporate culture and not having enough influence within the company.
