Texas district reinstates health-class graduation requirement

A Texas school board has voted to reinstate a requirement that all high-school students must pass a health class to graduate -- a mandate that was removed by the state Legislature this year along with computer courses and some physical-education requirements. Local officials said the computer and fitness lessons could be included in existing courses, but the health requirement should remain.
