Bowling Green group creates wellness gold standards

The Barren River Community Health Planning Council in Bowling Green, Ky., is developing gold standards for local company wellness programs that include having policies on drugs and alcohol use and providing fitness programs. The local health department, which helps companies create wellness programs, first focused on its own plan, which now has a participation rate of more than 50%.
