HHS allots $218M to combat health care-acquired conditions

HHS will provide $218 million to 26 national, regional, state or hospital groups as part of a federal effort to promote patient safety and reduce costs by curbing health care-acquired conditions. The groups will serve as Hospital Engagement Networks that will work to determine strategies and best practices and promote these measures to hospitals and doctors.
