Jetstar tries discounts to get travelers to use self check-in

Jetstar is offering discounted tickets to travelers who skip the check-in counter and use the airline's self-service system. It's a cost-cutting move for the airline that's in the process of "unbundling" its services. "If you don't want to use the check-in desk, that saves us money. It is a far more efficient airport experience for us," said Bruce Buchanan, CEO of Jetstar Group.
