Study: Seattle's I-90 Bridge OK for light rail

Seattle's Interstate 90 floating bridge is capable of accommodating light rail, according to a new real-world test. Planners have wanted to bring light rail across the bridge for a decade, but there have been ongoing questions about whether the bridge could handle the extra weight, and while computer models in 2001 indicated the rail would not pose a problem, officials wanted more proof to make sure.
