New Jersey mandates flu shots for preschoolers

New Jersey on Friday approved a new requirement that all children attending preschool or licensed day care centers must receive an annual flu shot, starting September 2008. Preschoolers will also be required to get a pneumococcal vaccine, while sixth-graders must get vaccines against meningitis and a booster shot against whooping cough.
