Colorado legislator says state needs nuclear energy

Cory Gardner, the Colorado Legislature's minority whip, told attendees at a state energy forum Monday that Colorado needs to develop nuclear energy. "If we're serious about energy independence, we have to look at nuclear," he said. A good deal of the meeting was discussion about how to efficiently transmit wind energy generated in the northeast corner of the state to consumers.
