Northeast waters have potential for wind farms

According to scientists, the waters off of the Northeast Coast could be a prime location for floating turbines that would generate wind energy for the region. Blue H USA hopes to place put a demonstration floating turbine 23 miles off the coast of Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. Companies in other parts of the world, such as StatoilHydro of Norway, are also planning to place wind turbines in deep waters.
