Students reap benefits from online classes

Technology boosts students' basic social and technical skills, according to a recent study, and students at California's Riverside Virtual School said offering online learning also lets students learn at their own pace. The school, which has grown to enroll more than 700 students, offered its first online course in 2005, and now allows students to take all of their classes online if they choose.
