AGC: Construction materials prices on the rise

The price of construction materials appears to be headed north, according to the Associated General Contractors of America. Rising prices of diesel, copper and brass mill shapes offer "the strongest indication yet that construction prices are heading up," AGC reported. Meanwhile, Reed Construction Data pegged the end of the construction recession between spring 2010 to beyond 2011, noting that the pace of each construction sector's recovery will determine 2010 cost trends.
