Nanoparticle can target, kill cancer cells simultaneously

Researchers have developed a nanoparticle that can target and kill cancer cells in one process and be monitored in real time through MRI. While human clinical trials of the nanoparticle could still be years away, the researchers hope patients eventually can be injected with a combination of these nanoparticles and antibodies that can target and eliminate specific cancer cells.
