Senators to use Bernanke's nomination debate to push curb on Fed autonomy

The Senate is expected to approve Ben Bernanke's nomination for a second term as chairman of the Federal Reserve. However, as the Senate banking committee discusses Mr. Bernanke's nomination Thursday, some senators are planning to use the forum to push for legislation that would subject the Fed's decisions to congressional audit.
