Waste glass could serve as building material, scientists say

Scientists in Singapore have developed a method to convert waste glass into building materials. They note that the cost of transforming the glass into materials with a binding agent is less than the cost of recycling the glass. "If we can harness technology to innovate and produce new materials from waste, this will not only create new business opportunities for local enterprises but also promote sustainable living," said Tam Li Phin, director of the Center of Innovation in Environmental and Water Technology.
