Controversy surrounds first "parent-trigger" effort in California

The Board of Education in California is asking for an investigation into the tactics used at a struggling Compton school to pull the "parent trigger" to convert the school into a charter. The board will ask the state's attorney general to investigate claims that misleading information and deceitful tactics were used to gather enough signatures to allow the parent takeover.
