Report: Android gains ground in ad impressions

Fueled by the success of Android software, smartphones accounted for 56% of the mobile ad impressions in the U.S. through October on the inMobi ad network, inMobi reported. Android grew sharply to a 19.2% share of the ad market, second to Apple's iOS operating system, which dropped almost 3 percentage points to 24.6%.
