Low insulin linked to depression risk in women, study finds

Women who had the lowest rates of insulin release were more than twice as likely to develop symptoms of depression as those with higher levels, according to a study in Diabetes Care. However, fasting glucose levels were not linked to depressive symptoms in men or women, researchers said.
