Ohio teachers cope with rapid changes to education

Educators in Ohio say they are reeling from changes to education in the state -- and nationwide -- that have them implementing the Common Core State Standards at the same time they are focused on helping students to meet current state standards and perform well on standardized tests. The state also is launching a new evaluation system for schools, altering science and social studies standards and making changes to reading instruction.
