Boeing ramps up bid to gain on Airbus

Air Canada's recent decision to buy up to 109 jets from Boeing was the latest salvo in a rivalry between Boeing and Europe's Airbus, and it signals Boeing is making good on its internal goal to recapture market share. "Don't make any mistake; in this business market share is extremely important," said a top executive who has done business with both companies. "You don't do stupid deals, but everyone thinks about it to some extent."
