Court stops work at Brazil stadium after fatal roof fall

The death of a worker who fell from the roof of the Arena Amazonia in Manaus, Brazil, has led a local labor court to stop construction at a part of the stadium, according to these reports. A 22-year-old worker fell 115 feet while installing diamond-shaped panels on steelwork that will become part of the roof. This is the second death at the arena, which will be used for the World Cup. The court will inspect the site for compliance with workplace safety standards, according to a report by The Associated Press.
